Introduction

Welcome to Muzzish ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience across our ecosystem of cross-platform apps, including our browser extensions (available on Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and Firefox Add-ons), our mobile applications (available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store), and our web application.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using our services, you signify your understanding of our privacy practices as described in this policy.

02

Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our services. The types of information we collect include:

  • Account Data: When you register for an account to sync your data across devices, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Usage Data: We may automatically collect information about how you interact with our services, including features used, time spent, and performance metrics.
  • Device Information: We collect hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Extension Data: Depending on the permissions granted, our browser extensions may access certain browsing data strictly required for the core functionality of the extension.
  • Sync Data: Information generated within the apps that you explicitly choose to synchronize across your connected devices.
03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and provide the core features of Muzzish.
  • Cross-Platform Sync: To securely synchronize your data across your devices when logged in to your account.
  • Improvements: To understand user behavior, troubleshoot bugs, and develop new features.
  • Communications: To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, unauthorized access, and fraudulent activities.
04

Cross-Platform Sync & Data Storage

Muzzish's core offering relies on seamless synchronization across your browser extensions, Android app, iOS app, and web app. To achieve this, your data is securely transmitted to our cloud infrastructure and associated with your Muzzish account.

The data synchronized is limited to the user-generated content and preferences within the Muzzish apps. We do not aggregate or synchronize your general browsing history or device files unless explicitly required for a feature you actively initiated and authorized.

05

Browser Extension Data

Our extensions on the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and Firefox Add-ons request specific permissions. We only request permissions that are absolutely necessary for the extension's functionality.

We strictly adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, the Microsoft Edge Add-ons policies, and the Firefox Add-on Policies. Specifically:

  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your data for unrelated purposes or unrelated targeted advertising.
  • We only handle user data securely, utilizing modern encryption standards.

If our extension requires access to active tabs or web page content, it does so only locally to perform the requested task, and such content is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly save it to your synced Muzzish account.

06

Mobile App Data

Our mobile applications available on the Google Play Store (Android) and Apple App Store (iOS) may request device-specific permissions, such as network access, storage, or notifications. These permissions are requested transparently within the app operating system and can be managed through your device settings at any time.

We comply fully with Google Play's Developer Program Policies and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines regarding user privacy, data collection, and transparency.

07

Third-Party Services

We may employ third-party companies and services to facilitate our operations, provide services on our behalf, perform service-related analytics, or assist us in analyzing how our services are used. These third parties may include:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Analytics and crash-reporting services
  • Payment processing gateways (for future premium features)
  • Email communication and support ticketing systems

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

08

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our web applications and websites to track activity and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our services, such as maintaining a logged-in session. We primarily use strictly necessary cookies to keep you authenticated and remember your preferences.

09

Data Retention & Deletion

We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time. You can do this directly within the app settings or by contacting us. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will permanently delete or anonymize your personal data from our active databases, except where retention is required by law.

10

Data Security

The security of your data is of utmost importance to us. We implement commercially acceptable security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. This includes utilizing encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest for sensitive database records.

However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

11

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • EU Users (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability.
